"False Charges"

The court system is corrupt. People get sentenced for wrong accusing, for something the person did not even commit the crime that they were accused of. But it seems to me that, that is the system today. Sometimes the person lying gets caught up in their own lie and gets sentenced for their lying to get the innocent arrested or convicted for a crime committed by someone else or even the person accusing them, you could be the lire yourself.

Some of this type of theme relates to the Crucible a book we are reading in our English class, and I will explain how it was carried out in the story, of how witchery and lying of people being accused got them hung or executed.

In the Crucible this theme relates to the trial for the women committing the acts of witchery in the woods near the town. These acts of witchery were carried out by only a few of the women but not all of them should be guilty, but in fact I think that none of them should be guilty because that is what they believe in and should not be punished for it. These women lied to protect themselves against the system (The Court), and not to be found guilty they could of got off.

But they lied before the court and got sentenced to an execution; they were sentenced to be hung before the town. John Proctor was there to protect the women from being accused of these acts of witchery. Often people who lie in court before a judge try to save themselves, but most of the time they will get caught in their own lie and another whole court case will be scheduled. Which will probably bring the wrongful people to justice in most cases.

In the court case with John Proctor and the court John lies to get the children and women that practiced witchery in the town off the hook from being executed. In this case John was trying to explain to the court that the acts of witchery should not be a crime in the town, which they live, he thinks its what they believe in so they should be allowed to without being of a crime.

It's what they want to believe in and what the want to believe. So they should be killed for committing acts in which they believe, is what Proctor was trying to explain. In the Crucible the children did not get accused because the court found out about the lying of the older women, but although the children were saved the older women were not so fortunate. They were hung by the order of the court.

The Court is a very powerful force in our community and society today, as a matter of fact the court decides what the decisions of the law is and what consequences people get for violating laws. Some people accused

And found guilty for a crime that they did not commit. This was witnessed in the Crucible many times in the court. As I stated before some of the women in the witchery acts were not guilty and were executed as all the other women were. They were still given a fair trial. But you have to think; American Constitution states that a fair trial must be given before sentencing someone. But think about it, America must not be that fair if people sentenced for an act they did not commit. The court system must be really corrupt.
